From behind I bunch up your hair in my hands,
Then I let my fingers glide through intently,
Like a weaver pulling wool through a card
Alchemy turning threads to silken strands.
Sliding my hands across, gently touching
Your smooth, warm, soft body and face
Feeling powerful, sleepy, electric, and
Besotted through my palms and fingers
The hope shining bright in my heart
As it skips a beat from that smile
Beaming from your lips and your eyes,
Is like a glowing sun-doused spring day.
When you kiss me, I can’t breathe.
I am drunk and feverish and bold.
Butterflies light a bon fire in my stomach.
I feel young and scared, excited and shy.
Ecstasy visits in those brief stolen moments,
When you fold me in and hold me so tight.
Pulling together our bodies and our souls,
Melding us together, two beings become one.
